Being in Kalpathy during the annual Thereu / Ratholstaveam festival is a moment that will be cherished throughout our lives.   Innovative designs both modern and colorful decorations surrounding the lord is a sight to behold. 

The magnanimous structure of the finely carved chariot with the massive decorations are the beauty that can never be captured on photograph. 

In the grace of LMG and thanks to Bakrid falling on the same days we were able to join back in Kalpathy for the theru festival and it was like a walk through the Past. 

It was a gratifying experience and an eye opener for our children who saw the splendor for the first time.

Navarathri in the Middle East!

A fabulous time of celebration is the period of Navarathri in the Middle East Region..... the whole hindu community come alive and colourful. 

There are ladies and littel girls bedecked with Jwellery and wearing colourful traditional attire going on their ways for a garbha night with their friends or to visit other south indian friends who have the traditional nine sept Kolu depecting the various gods and goddess.  Men also sport a similar look in ther shervanis and kurthas.
